About the Position
The Shire of Ashburton is seeking a seasoned Executive to work alongside our Chief Executive Officer to contribute directly to the Shire’s strategic objectives. This newly created position is a pivotal role that will work collaboratively across the organisation, allowing the Chief Executive Officer to focus on strategic imperatives of the organisation, while this role enable operational excellence. This position will provide leadership and help shape the way we deliver our services through contemporary and innovative solutions and best practice implementation to serve the needs of an evolving and growing community.
This portfolio will manage professional teams across multiple locations, including Land, Property and Regulatory Services, Organisational Development, Audit Controls and Procurement. You will drive performance and provide design and transformational leadership to empower internal teams while offering support and identifying and removing obstacles. It will be expected that you influence current thinking to support the best outcomes for our community.
You will be a seasoned professional, providing strategic advice at Executive level within Local Government in Australia, holding a relevant qualification with substantial and effective people management experience. Your demonstrated experience in enabling contemporary work practices will set you up for success.
