The Shire of Ashburton has again committed its support to The Karijini Experience, confirming its position as platinum sponsor for the 2023 event.
Shire of Ashburton President Kerry White acknowledged that The Karijini Experience was a significant event for the Ashburton and wider Pilbara region.
“There is no other event quite like The Karijini Experience”, said Councillor White.
“The event honours the beauty of the area we are lucky to live in and call home, and also acknowledges and supports the Banjima People and their Country.
“Through five days of an original program of arts, culture and connection, The Karijini Experience showcases the uniqueness of our environment and vibrancy of our community.
“Council is pleased to continue to support this event as we continue to develop our tourism offering and visitor economy, recognising tourism as a secondary industry within the Shire of Ashburton, and supporting our strategies for growth.
“We are most looking forward to the 2023 event in July and working with Banjima Native Title Aboriginal Corporation to continue to build on the success and legacy of the Karijini Experience”.
