Tom Price
Clem Thompson Memorial Oval and Pavilion
The Clem Thompson Memorial Oval and Pavilion was previously called Number One oval. The name was changed several years ago in memory of a pioneer, Mr Clem Thompson, who lived in Tom Price and was involved in junior and senior football for many years. The oval is a full sized football stadium. The lights at the oval are on a timer system, which is activated by the Community Services Division.
Tjiluna Oval
Tjiluna Oval is a smaller size oval and has a permanent safety fence around the diamond. These features make it particularly attractive for softball and baseball throughout the year. Previously named Number Two Oval, the new name refers to a waterhole near Tom Price of great significance to the local Gurama people. The lights are also on a timer system and are only turned on for bookings made through the Council Office.
Minna Oval
This oval is adjacent to the North Tom Price Primary School in Area W. The oval is a joint facility between the Education Department and the Shire of Ashburton. The oval has a cement path around the outside perimeter and the reserve is classed as an off leash dog exercise area. This oval has no lighting towers.
Paraburdoo
Peter Sutherland Oval
The Peter Sutherland Oval is the larger of the two ovals situated in Paraburdoo, used by groups such as football and softball. Night games are very popular as there are four large light towers. These are on a timer system, which will only be programmed to come on if bookings are made through the Customer Service Officer at the Shire Office.
Judy Woodvine Oval
The Judy Woodvine Oval is not a full size oval and is used by groups such as tee ball. This oval is used for day games, as there is no lighting available. Bookings must be made through the Shire Office.
Onslow
Thalanyji Oval
The Thalanyji Oval is situated on Third Avenue and was previously known as the Onslow oval. It was renamed in acknowledgement of the local indigenous population. It is a full sized oval which is reticulated and partially floodlit for evening training purposes. There are goalposts, a cricket pitch, children's playground and a BBQ area. It is adjacent to the Onslow Sports Club.
