Tom Price Mall Rectification Project

The Shire of Ashburton has engaged Byblos Construction to carry out a series of necessary works in the Tom Price Town Mall district. One of the main tasks includes addressing the impact of a large Ficus tree root system on the concrete walkway. This involves exposing the roots, implementing root control measures, and restoring the pathway to its original state. During this time, residents and members of the community may experience some noise, dust, and temporary restrictions accessing nearby pathways.

The construction activities will mainly focus on the central area of the Mall walkway, with limited access to the Mitre 10 car park through the pedestrian village green area. To minimise disruption to businesses in the area, pedestrian pathways have been set up to facilitate movement down the mall walkway and ensure continued access to establishments during the construction process and Soundex curtains installed to the perimeter of works to reduce the noise volume in the area.

We understand that this may cause some inconvenience, and we apologise for any disruptions. If you have any concerns or questions regarding the project, please do not hesitate to contact [email protected]
