On Saturday 31 August 2013, Police, in conjunction with the Shire of Ashburton, held their first “All Ages Blue Light Disco” at the Onslow Primary School. The event was complete with a slushy machine, glow sticks, fantastic music and a sausage sizzle.
The Onslow police were assisted by many helpers on the night which included staff from the Shire of Ashburton; V-Swans; and members of the public. Approximately 65 children attended the Blue Light and all were fantastically behaved. It was so great to see all the different kids from town there, getting down and having a boogie.
If any parents or Onslow youth have any feedback they would like to provide to the Onslow Police, please feel free to visit them at the station located at Lot 594, Second Avenue, Onslow WA 6710.
The Onslow police are hoping to organise many more discos in the future and your input would be great to ensure they are all as successful as this one was.
