Shire of Ashburton welcomes Kirstie Davis as Deputy Chief Executive Officer

Ms Davis joins the Shire’s Executive Leadership Team with over 10 years of local government experience, and a core focus on achieving outstanding stakeholder results that drive productivity, competitiveness, and sustainability.

With a Bachelor of Behavioural Science, post graduate qualifications in Public Policy, and currently undertaking a Master of Bioethical Decision Making, Ms Davis comes to the Shire with a career spanning almost three decades.

Ms Davis has a demonstrated understanding of local government principles having previously held roles at the Western Australian Local Government Association (WALGA) and as Director of Community and Lifestyle at the Shire of Harvey.

Shire of Ashburton President Kerry White said Council was pleased to welcome Ms Davis to the Shire.

“This newly created position is a pivotal role that will work collaboratively across the administration, allowing the Chief Executive Officer to focus on the strategic imperatives of the organisation,” she said.

“We look forward to welcoming Ms Davis to the Shire of Ashburton and her assistance in bringing opportunities to our community.”

Kirstie will commence her position in October 2023, and is looking forward to getting to know the people and places of the Shire of Ashburton.
